Allergens & Dietary Information

Costa publishes a full allergen guide covering all 14 legally-declarable allergens, plus vegan and vegetarian suitability, across its café menu. We're working through this item by item and will only publish a figure once it's been checked against that official guide — nothing here is guessed.

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please don't rely on this site alone. Ask a member of staff for Costa's current official allergen guide before you order, every time — recipes and suppliers can change without notice, and this page cannot replace an in-store check.

Caffeine Content

Caffeine content scales with the number of espresso shots in a drink, not the drink name itself — a Latte and a Cappuccino with the same shot count have the same caffeine. Figures below are taken directly from Costa's official Store Allergen Guide (27 Aug – 21 Oct 2026 edition).

Shots Coffee Type Caffeine
1 shot Espresso (single) 100 mg
2 shots Standard drinks (Latte, Cappuccino, Flat White, Americano, etc.) 200 mg
3 shots Triple-shot drinks 325 mg
4 shots Quad-shot drinks 400 mg

This guide refreshes roughly every 8 weeks, so figures may be updated in later editions — check back here for the latest.

Where To Check Right Now

The most reliable source for allergen information today is Costa's own official allergen guide, available in-store or on Costa's own website. Our category pages also show calories where we've confirmed them, with allergen columns being added as they're verified.
